Dear Alumni and Friends,

Whether someone is in a mid-career rut and looking to augment their current skill set, strategizing how to earn that promotion or pay raise, exploring what it would take to make a career change or are fresh out of an undergraduate program — pursuing a graduate degree holds unlimited potential for anyone willing and eager to put in the time and effort.

Graduate programs are not one-size-fits-all and frequently bring together groups and populations that have less in common than they do alike. This diverse setting makes for a dynamic learning environment where everyone’s individual experiences contribute to discussion, exploration and expansion of thought.

Kent State University, with its eight-campus system in Northeast Ohio, prepares students for scholarly, research and professional careers, with extensive graduate studies programs featuring more than 400 degree pathways including 240 master’s degree options, 60 doctoral degree options, 40 certificates and 40 non-degree options. A few of our newest post-degree programs include: the Ed.D. in Leadership (fully online), Master of Aviation, Master of Library information Systems and Master of Fashion Industry Studies.

Student presenting research on stageIn order to prepare our graduate students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to be leaders in today’s workplace as well as engaged citizens, the Division of Graduate Studies focuses on these key priorities:

  • Scholarships – Including general scholarships, scholarships for underserved students, last dollar completion/emergency funds and assistantship funding.
  • General Funds – Help Graduate Studies host student tours and events to recruit more students to our programs, and provide travel stipends for recruited students.
  • Student Services – To help support the completion of degrees, including Three-Minute Thesis, Dissertation Boot Camp and other special workshops and speakers.
