Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to you today regarding an upcoming forum, volunteer opportunities, and a reminder of our open surveys.
Faculty and Staff Forum Invitation
In a follow up to my message at the start of the semester, I invite you to attend our Academic Affairs Community Forum where we will discuss Transformation 2028 work to date, present additional findings from the open surveys, and answer any questions you may have. I will be joined by members from our T28 Communication Committee as well as faculty leadership.
Academic Affairs Community Forum
Thursday, September 19, 2024
12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Microsoft Teams Live Link
In anticipation of the forum, I encourage you to send in your questions in advance to provost@kent.edu. If you are unable to attend, a recording will be available on our provost website.
Staff Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you to all who have volunteered to participate in the Academic Affairs T28 process thus far. Our leadership, process, data, and communication teams have worked hard all summer to provide our academic community with the tools needed to reach our objectives of being leaner while continuing to be distinctive in our academic programming. Both faculty and staff have participated in these committees. I am creating two new committees focused on staff processes and wellness. If you are a staff member and are interested in participating, I encourage you to fill out the volunteer form . All Academic Affairs staff are welcome. These committees will meet weekly.
Surveys are Still Open
Please continue to send suggestions to the surveys so that your thoughts are known. Our communications committee continues to review surveys. Surveys will close on September 20.
My best,
Melody Tankersley, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President and Provost
