Honors College will be having an ice cream social to welcome the incoming freshmen class. They will provide free New Baltimore Ice Cream and the Honors College staff and mentor students will be available to chat.
Plan to take the traditional picture of all incoming students as a group during this time. Plan to wear your Honors College t-shirt which you'll pick up during move in or during this welcome event.

Kick off the semester with Kent State Soccer!
Join us at as the Golden Flashes host Colgate University for the 2023 Home Opener.
Students who attend will receive a free KSU Travel Toothbrush to "Brush Away Colgate", and all fans will receive an official 2023 poster schedule.

Join the LGBTQ+ Center for a Fall Kick Off event to learn about on and off campus resources for the LGBTQ+ community.
Learn about ways to get involved in LGBTQ+ events and student organizations, as well as meeting new people in a fun and supportive environment.
The first 200 students will receive a pair of rainbow sunglasses! Two drawings will be conducted with two chances to win $250 to the University Bookstore- Must be present for the drawing.

This welcome reception is for any new transfer student to meet other incoming transfer students and start to build your community.
Come get some ice-cream and refreshments, play some games, win some prizes and have some fun!

This event is required for all new students.
Let’s see your Blue and Gold Spirit! Join us for the “This is Kent State” pep-rally and help us kick off a new and exciting season of Kent State Athletics!
This fun-filled event will have prizes, giveaways, games, and more. Be sure to wear blue and gold.
5 - 5:30 p.m. - student green

Meet student organizations, learn how to get involved on campus, play games, win prizes, talk with various campus departments and services, check out local food trucks, and create new friendships!
5:30 - 8 p.m. | Risman Plaza, Student Green and Manchester Field
Make sure to stick around afterwards for the Kent State Undergraduate Student Government after party/concert until 9:30 PM. Live music and lots of fun!
