The following steps must be taken to participate in the optional internship program:
- It is important to consult with your advisor to determine whether this is an appropriate time to participate in an internship program.
- There is a possibility that this process may take more than one week. In order to avoid any potential delays, we ask that you plan in advance.
- Receive an offer letter from an organization outlining the details and nature of the related work, as well as the terms and conditions of the employment.
- Fill out the Internship Application. You need to log in with your Flash authentication.
- Send a copy of the offer letter to the:
- Instructor of the Internship course (currently Dr. Delozier, gdelozie@kent.edu.
- CPT/OPT coordinator (currently, Dr. Peyravi, hpeyravi@kent.edu) for International students.
- Carefully read the CPT and OPT policies and restrictions.
- After being approved by the CPT coordinator, you may complete the CPT form with the International Office ( International Student & Scholar Portal and in the Request Center, complete the Curricular Practical Training Request).
