Tiago Delgado (M.M. ‘17) Joins Memorial University Faculty

Alumnus Tiago Delgado recently joined the faculty at Memorial University of Newfoundland as an instructor teaching clarinet and saxophone. Alongside his one-year faculty appointment, Delgado—a native of Brazil—is completing his doctoral studies at the University of Toronto where he’s also a teaching assistant. He received his master’s from Kent State University in 2017 as a student of Amitai Vardi. 

Delgado has extensive experience as a teacher and mentor to young musicians in both South and North America. He’s been a guest lecturer for the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Goiàs and Federal University of São João del-Rei (Brazil). For two years, he served as a graduate assistant at Kent State teaching clarinet fundamentals and ensemble sections.
