   After two days of heavy rains and intense winds across Northeast Ohio, the skies cleared, creating perfect weather for this year’s Akron Pride Festival, which took place on Saturday, Aug. 26, in downtown Akron. Several areas on Kent State University's Kent Campus show damage from high winds that accompanied storms that swept across northeast Ohio on Thursday. There were tornado warnings in the area as wind gusts in Kent were measured at 80 mph.   This tree fell on The Commons, near the Victory Bell.
