2. More Support Across Campus for Students, Employees, and the Kent Community

Students, employees and the broader community are welcome to access mental health support at one of many locations on the Kent Campus. The following services are free for Kent State students and are either free or charge a nominal fee for university employees and community members.

Block 1

Assessment

Request a consultation with a CAPS clinician to determine if psychological testing is clinically appropriate for you. Testing is available for ADHD, learning disorders, cognitive functioning, personality or substance use concerns.

Consultation is a covered service, while testing is billed to insurance or paid by the student.

CAPS

1. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS is in Van Campen Hall, offering in-person and telehealth services.    

Students can schedule a CAPS consultation with a licensed clinician to develop a personalized plan to address mental health concerns. The plan will include a variety of services, many of which are covered by student fees and outlined below.
