All registered student organizations may apply annually for operational dollars for organization business. This can include money for supplies, marketing materials, equipment. A maximum of $200 will be awarded to any one organization during an academic year.  

Student Organization requesting funding should fill out this allocation request form. All applications must be submitted six (6) weeks prior to the program. Organizations may apply for a program up to $10,000 per academic year. 

If you are looking to have alcohol at a registered student organization on-campus event, you will need to submit and have an approved Alcohol Waiver through the Center for Student Involvement Office.   

On campus fundraisers that involve food need to follow the below criteria to be an approved event  

*Please know that even if your event space request was approved, if you do not follow the below policies & procedures your event can be cancelled due to breech of university policy*

Below is a list of tips that can be useful in properly planning for your student organization to host an event. For all events taking place on campus, please make sure to reserve space through University Events and Conference Services. 

Develop Goals and Objectives

Establishing goals and objectives for your event/meeting can be made easy by asking yourself/group the following questions: (Note: These should be measurable)

To schedule space on campus you will need to work with the University Events & Conference Services Office (uecs@kent.edu; 330-672-3202).  All meetings and events need to be scheduled through the UECS Office for resource and safety purposes.
