The Division of Student Affairs celebrated those who make a difference at Kent State with its first-ever Equity, Identity, and Success recognition week held November 15-19. For over 10 years, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) had a tradition of honoring staff and faculty who have aided students with disabilities through a unique recognition program. Visual Communication Design alumna Loretta Ford, M.F.A., ‘21, received the opportunity of a lifetime when she was sought out by Microsoft to illustrate a new children’s book that is part of the Phippy and Friends series.   The Microsoft series aims to explain complex computer programming concepts to children through fun and easy-to-understand stories. The Kent and Kent State University communities can head downtown to go ice skating starting Nov. 20, courtesy of Kent Skates presented by AMETEK.  This special attraction has been created through a partnership between the city of Kent, the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center, the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Kent and Kent State. Fall 2021 Doctoral Forum Retreat was held virtually on Saturday, October 30, 2021 via Teams. This is the second time we held the Doctoral Forum Retreat online. We had over 30 doctoral students participating in the event, including those outside of the US! See the agenda   The retreat went from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..  Paul J.
