The Golden Flash Asset Management (GFAM) Group is composed of Kent State students who are interested in finance. The team manages an investment fund of over $1 million in assets from the Kent State Foundation. The group currently has 26 active members. The Kent State University at Tuscarawas Engineering Technology Department announced the winners of two competitions for area high school students during the Engineering Technology Opportunity Expo held February 19. The students were trained in alternative energy and fluid power. The submitted entries were judged by a committee of campus faculty and staff. While teaming up with The Academy of American Poets, the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University created a national contest where poems were submitted to honor the 50th commemoration of May 4, 1970.
