KENT, Ohio - Seven finalists competed in Kent State’s John S. and Marlene J. Brinzo Center for Entrepreneurship’s annual CEBIpitch competition in April for a share of $20,000 in cash prizes. Two teams of Kent State Media and Journalism students are being honored nationally for their work building public relations campaigns for Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF). Throughout the Spring 2022 semester, the students participated in the National Bateman Case Study Competition, hosted by the Public Relations Student Society of America. KENT, Ohio - The Kent State Golden Flash Asset Management (GFAM) team brought home three trophies in this year’s G.A.M.E. Forum hosted virtually by Quinnipiac University. The G.A.M.E. Two significant environmental issues our nation faces today include invasive plant species and a lack of sustainable materials. A blaze burns the prairie grass that grows behind the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center during a controlled burning by the Kent Fire Department.

The protected prairie surrounding Kent State University’s Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on Friday, April 29, starting around 9 a.m., to allow for new growth during the summer season.   The city of Kent Fire Department will conduct the controlled burning of the prairie, which has been a yearly practice since 2004. The prairie burn on April 29 is dependent on the weather and the Kent Fire Department not being called to an emergency.
