Romy Anderson, senior studio art major, was recently announced as one of the American Tapestry Alliance’s (ATA) Emerge Award recipients for 2022. This award is a membership award program that recognizes university students who have an interest in tapestry. Jack McWhorter, professor of art at Kent State University at Stark, passed away on May 1, 2022 after a brief illness. He was a professor of painting at Kent State University at Stark for 32 years and also served as the coordinator for the studio art program, the galleries, and the regional Scholastic Art Awards.
