Recent Kent State University graduate Kaycee Marshall was featured on “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” the fourth hour of the NBC morning show on May 31. Ms. Marshall graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design on May 12. The Indiana native was born with sacral agenesis and scoliosis and has been confined to a wheelchair her entire life.   While crews worked to repair the retaining wall around the front lawn of the Carnegie Library, Kent State University’s East Liverpool Campus was invited to place a time capsule in the wall’s corner pillar, closest to the Mary Patterson Building. Employees from the library earlier placed a time capsule in the opposite end of the wall and, as a good neighbor, invited Kent State to preserve a bit of its history in like manner. New laptop cart and laptop computers donated by the SCF

  The Salem Community Foundation recently donated more than $51,000 to the Kent State Salem Campus for the purchase of 45 new laptop computers, as well as a charging cart.  The computers are Dell Latitiude 5490 XCTO models and are used by faculty for testing and instruction of students in all majors. A national organization has recognized Kent State University with a perfect overall score for the university’s efforts to create a more inclusive campus and welcoming environment for all. Kent State has received a 5.0 out of 5.0 score on the Campus Pride Index, the premier national benchmarking tool for creating safer and more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and universities.
