Lance Grahn, Ph.D., has been selected as the new dean and chief administrative officer at Kent State University at Trumbull. Grahn was chosen following a national search. He currently serves as a professor of history at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. The Women’s Auxiliary at Trumbull Memorial Hospital presented Kent State University at Trumbull’s nursing program with a grant in excess of $20,000 on Tuesday, Jan. 28, which will be used for the purchase of a virtual intravenous simulator. The simulator is an important piece of training equipment that provides a hands-on learning experience for students in the insertion of patient IVs, for which students need to earn certification in, in order to complete their coursework.
