A group of 21 secondary school teachers from 20 different countries is spending six weeks at Kent State University as part of a Fulbright professional development program for foreign educators. Kellie Rose Kordinak is in an elite group of American college students. The senior from the Kent State Stark Campus was recently named a 2024 Portz Scholar by the National Collegiate Honors Council – one of only four students from across the country.Kordinak is majoring in history and applied communication studies, taking classes at the Stark and Kent campuses.
