This summer, more than 20 students from Kent State University's College of Nursing attended the Florence Health Institute, a unique education abroad program located in the heart of Italy. These future nurses had the opportunity to view healthcare through a global lens, an experience that will shape both their clinical skills and worldviews for years to come.   “Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts," is inscribed on a plaque at the Kent State Student Memorial Garden on Manchester Field on the Kent Campus. It was created in 2015 in remembrance of all Kent State students who have died.   The inspiration for the Student Memorial Garden came from Undergraduate Student Government and other student organizations who advocated for a permanent student memorial on campus.
