The legacy and dedication of Connie Espenschied Hess, one of Kent State University at Tuscarawas’ first employees, will carry on after her passing in 2020 with the establishment of a new scholarship that encourages students to be their best. The Connie Espenshied Hess Make a Difference Scholarship was created to perpetuate Hess’ mission of encouraging all students to continue their formal education after high school no matter their circumstances. Join the Kent Chorus

The Kent Chorus is a town/gown non-audition vocal ensemble made up of Kent State students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The chorus rehearses weekly during the semester from 7:15-9:45 p.m. on the third floor of the Center for the Performing Arts. Spring semester rehearsals will begin Tuesday, Jan. 16, so if you're interested in learning more or want to join the chorus, registration will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. that night outside the rehearsal room in the Center for Performing Arts.

Slips, trips and falls are the leading causes of work related injuries, causing up to 15% of accidental deaths in the workplace. With wintertime upon us, the focus of this presentation will be on safe walking and distracted walking.
