Join Main Street Kent as it celebrates 20 years of making downtown Kent a vibrant place to live, work, and visit! The festivities begin with a free Anniversary Party at the Plaza on Friday, July 24, featuring live music, treats, giveaways, and family-friendly activities. Then, on Saturday, July 25, enjoy a special ticketed anniversary celebration with delicious bites from 13 local restaurants, music, beverages, and more. Proceeds support Main Street Kent's continued efforts to strengthen and enhance the downtown community. Don't miss this milestone celebration!

The Transformative Kent Blossom Music Festival Experience Returns for its 58th Year

The Kent Blossom Music Festival returns for its 58th season from June 21 through July 26, bringing world-class performances and educational opportunities to Kent State University and Northeast Ohio. The 2026 season will feature faculty concerts, young artist performances and a season finale at Blossom Music Center, including the festival’s signature side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra. 

Call for nominations: Advisor Impact Award

Nominations are now open for the Kent State University Advisor Impact Award! Sponsored by University Advising, the Advisor Impact Award is a quarterly recognition given to one outstanding academic advisor who has made a significant positive impact on the lives and academic success of their students. This award celebrates advisors who embody the Kent State University Advising Guiding Principles. Nominations for the award close Friday, July 24.

You're invited: Juneteenth Jubilee

Kent State University will commemorate Juneteenth with a community celebration that combines the rich history of Black Americans with an assortment of festivities. Juneteenth Jubilee will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Kent Campus, Student Green/Risman Plaza. Enjoy live performances, music, great food, vendors and more. This event is free and open to the public.
