Campus preparations are underway for Fall 2026 Move-In as thousands of new and returning students arrive on campus soon. Official move-in days will take place from Wednesday, Aug. 19, through Sunday, Aug. 23. Faculty and staff should anticipate increased traffic along main campus thoroughfares, particularly surrounding residence halls. Several parking lots will be reserved exclusively for move-in unloading during peak hours. To support the incoming class, the university is recruiting volunteers for Movers and Groovers and Golf Cart Shuttle drivers.

Kent State University’s College of the Arts will present Art Without Limits on Wednesday, Oct. 14, bringing professionals from across the arts to campus for a free day of presentations focused on arts entrepreneurship. New this year, the event will conclude with a panel discussion featuring all guest speakers, followed by a networking reception. 

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Oct. 21, as we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Bowman Breakfast with a special presentation by Sarah Spinner, J.D., Ph.D. Sarah will share her Kent State story and reflect on the relationships, experiences and connections that have shaped her journey and her work at the Kent State University Museum. Since its inception in 1963, this event has brought together university and city leaders to address important community issues and strengthen the partnership between Kent State and the city of Kent.
