We write as faculty and staff of an academic unit created over 50 years ago by Kent State University (KSU) with a mission to research, teach, and advocate for the principles of peaceful change, and whose original degree program began in 1973, the same year as the Yom Kippur War. I am an undergraduate student at Kent State University participating in the Project NEXT Grant.  I have benefited from being a part of this grant through the services provided to me by my Interventionist.  For example, when I needed to set up a meeting with a professor, my interventionist assisted in preparing me for the meeting.
