Kent State University will commemorate Juneteenth with a community celebration that combines the rich history of Black Americans with an assortment of festivities. Juneteenth Jubilee will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Kent Campus, Student Green/Risman Plaza. Enjoy live performances, music, great food, vendors and more. This event is free and open to the public.

  • Take your game to the next level this summer with Golden Flashes Camps & Clinics! Young athletes of all skill levels will have the opportunity to learn from the coaches and student-athletes of the Kent State Golden Flashes while developing their skills in a competitive environment. Our camps are designed to help participants improve fundamentals, build confidence, and experience what it’s like to train with a Division I program. Campers will receive hands-on instruction, participate in drills and competitions, and enjoy a memorable experience on Kent State’s campus. 

  • The Design Innovation (DI) Initiative at Kent State University is proud to announce the newest cohort of John and Fonda Elliot Design Innovation Faculty Fellows, an interdisciplinary group of scholars, makers, and educators whose projects explore the intersections of technology, research, and human-centered problem solving.

  • Kent State University’s School of Art invites all to attend the 2026 KBAI Visiting Artist Lecture Series, featuring public presentations by visiting artists working in ceramics, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, and sculpture and expanded media. All lectures are free and open to the public and take place at 5 p.m. in the Center for the Visual Arts, Room 165. 

  • The Kent Blossom Music Festival returns for its 58th season from June 21 through July 26, bringing world-class performances and educational opportunities to Kent State University and Northeast Ohio. The 2026 season will feature faculty concerts, young artist performances and a season finale at Blossom Music Center, including the festival’s signature side-by-side concert with The Cleveland Orchestra.
