Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and immediate action is critical. At Kent State, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are placed across campus to ensure help is always close by. These devices are designed for anyone to use—no medical training needed—and provide clear voice instructions during an emergency. AEDs can be found in some academic buildings, recreation and athletic facilities and other high traffic areas throughout the Kent Campus. Taking a moment to learn where the nearest AED is in your building or on campus can make a lifesaving difference.
