KSU Navigate Student Success Platform Pilot Update

KSU Navigate is a new student success platform at Kent State.

This past spring, the KSU Navigate academic services pilot launched for tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching and writing assistance. Kent State students and staff at several of our Regional Campuses (Ashtabula, Geauga/Twinsburg Academic Center, Trumbull, and Tuscarawas) were able to access this new platform and begin scheduling appointments. We learned several things during the tutoring pilot that will enhance the use of KSU Navigate. In addition, we will include feedback from the recent quantitative and qualitative surveys around the language used in the KSU Navigate app.

This summer, the Academic Success Center on the Kent Campus will be using KSU Navigate to schedule appointments for tutoring and academic coaching.

Also, this summer, an advising pilot will begin on July 1. All Regional Campuses, the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Nursing faculty, staff and students will participate in this pilot. Students will be able to schedule and check in for a variety of advising appointments. It is important to note that beginning July 1, students will no longer be able to make appointments through KSU Advising. They will be directed to KSU Navigate. Workshops will be conducted for each pilot group to help advisors setup their availability in the platform.

If you have questions, please contact your academic services office for tutoring or John Jewell at jjewell5@kent.edu. For advising, please contact your academic advising office or Charity Miller at cmill241@kent.edu.
