The College of Public Health is proud to announce that Nouf Alsaheil, Ph.D., who just graduated with her doctorate in Health Policy and Management, was honored with the People's Choice Award for her poster focused on “Investigating Ohio Health Commissioners' Perceptions and Experiences with Respect to Decision-Making During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
Many congratulations to CPH student Matt Craver who won first place for his poster on “Black Students’ Perceptions of Mental Health Services During the ‘Dual Pandemic’ Era.” Craver, BSPH Summa Cum Laude ‘21, graduated with a MPH in Social and Behavioral Science concentration in Spring 2023.

Reema Kousar, College of Public Health doctoral candidate, has been recently honored as one of the recipients of the 2023 Healthy Communities Research Institute Distinguished Dissertation and Thesis Award. Kousar, whose research dissertation focused on “Assessment of cardiovascular disease risk factors, knowledge, perception, and health literacy level of the Nepali-Speaking Bhutanese immigrant population in Ohio,” will graduate in December 2024 with a Ph.D. in Epidemiology.
