Join the College of Public Health for a virtual Continuing Education Webinar about "Visit with Vigilance: Keeping Community Health Workers Safe During Home Visits." Participants licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing can receive 1 free CE hour after completion of the course and the post-CE evaluation.
Objectives of the training:
- Identify environmental health risks CHWs may face;
- Identify de-escalation techniques;
- Identify ways to decrease spread of infection;
- Identify elements of a emergency preparedness plan;
- Identify ways to respond to emergent safety situations;
- Identify ways to follow up when safety concern is noticed.
The webinar is presented by Melissa Dyer, Ph.D., RN, MSN, MBA, Kent State College of Public Health Community Health Worker Certification Program Administrator and Professor in the Kent State College of Nursing.
