The Center for Adult and Veteran Services (CAVS) enhances the experiences of adult, military-connected, and parenting students both in and out of the classroom. Our inclusive focus ensures an engaging student experience through programs, services, and compliance with military-connected federal agencies.

TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers

TRIO Educational Opportuinity Centers (EOC) provides financial and academic assistance through the college admission process to individuals who desire to pursue post-secondary education at Kent State University. Trio EOC is designed for those who are limited English proficiency, traditionally underrepresented in postsecondary education, persons with disabilities, homeless children and youth, foster care youth, and other disconnected participants.

One Stop For Student Services

One Stop for Student Services assists students and families with questions regarding their financial aid and scholarships, billing and payment, as well as obtaining transcripts or enrollment verifications.

Center for Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services

The Center for Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services (SRVSS) empowers those affected by power-based personal violence and educates the community about healthy relationships and bystander action. Support for anyone who has or knows someone who has experienced power-based personal violence (such as sexual assault, intimate partner/relationship violence and stalking) is available through Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services.

BRIDGES

Bridges is a voluntary program available to young adults who left foster care in Ohio at ages 18 to 21 and who are in school, working, participating in an employment program, or have a medical condition that prevents them from going to school or working. The program provides guidance and support as they transition to adulthood.

ACTION Ohio

Alumni of Care Together Improving Outcomes Now Ohio (ACTION Ohio) is dedicated to improving outcomes for current and former foster care youth. ACTION Ohio brings together the voices of youth, alumni and allies to create lasting change and generate hope for current and former foster youth, based on access to resources, ally support and alumni expertise.

ETV Ohio

The Ohio Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program is a federally-funded, state-administered program that provides financial, academic, and human support for young adults who’ve left the foster care system and are enrolled in qualified colleges, universities, or vocational education programs.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services promotes long-term self-sufficiency and provides a safety net for our most vulnerable citizens. It oversees Ohio's public assistance, workforce development, unemployment insurance, child and adult protective services, adoption, child care, and child support programs.

Ohio Reach

Ohio Reach is a network of professionals, advocates, and students across the State of Ohio determined to support former foster youth on their higher education journey. We provide resources to institutions of higher education, child welfare agencies, and foster care alumni enrolled in higher education to support their academic success.

Youth Navigator Network

The Youth Navigator Network works to help Ohio's youth and young adults who have been in care or recently transitioned out of care access resources, navigate complicated forms and processes, and build an expanded network of support.

The 211 network in the United States responds to more than 21 million requests for help every year. Most calls, web chats, and text messages are from people looking for help meeting basic needs like housing, food, transportation, and health care.
