Quick Tip: Canvas course access and enrollments
We hope you are having a great first week of classes! For this week’s Quick Tip, we’re sending a reminder about the Canvas Dashboard and course enrollments. Make sure to bookmark the updated ticket links below as these have changed since last semester.
Missing a course on your Canvas Dashboard?
Check the All Courses page first!
Click the Courses icon in the menu on the left. A panel will pop out; scroll to the bottom and click the All Courses link. You can click the star icon next to a course to pin it to your Dashboard.
Fix Canvas enrollment issues
Canvas course enrollments are updated automatically, but occasionally you or your students might find a discrepancy between the courses you see in Canvas vs. FlashLine. If you (or your student) cannot find your course(s) on the All Courses page, you can request an enrollment sync. Here’s how:
- Canvas Roster Doesn’t Match FlashLine (Instructor)
Submit this ticket if you have any Canvas courses where the student roster does not match your official FlashLine roster.
- Canvas Dashboard Doesn’t Match FlashLine (Student)
Refer students to submit this ticket if they have Canvas courses that they are missing or if they are enrolled in a Canvas course they shouldn’t be.
