Choosing to attend a college or university is a major decision for any high school senior. The COVID -19 pandemic made this choice even more difficult as the lockdown thrust many students, instructors, and staff into a fairly new form of untested educational format in online telecommuting rather than in-person instructing.
Kent State staff members with questions about the upcoming fall semester were able to talk with university leaders Aug. 19 via a virtual town hall.
Parents and students with questions about the upcoming fall semester were able to talk with university leaders Aug. 17 via a virtual town hall on Zoom. Many questions focused on the university's response to COVID-19 and testing requirements as students, faculty and staff return to campus.
Update: The Global Vaccine Poem project is finding success with more than 1,900 submissions so far from more than 100 countries. The project is a collaboration between the Wick Poetry Center and the University of Arizona Poetry Center.
More than 2,000 area residents, including some Kent State University employees, received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine March 23, during a mass vaccination event at the Kent State Field House.
