Black (Music) History

The Black (Music) History Month Concert scheduled for  Sun., Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. has been cancelled! Please check back - more information will be posted as it becomes available. 

Kent State University Orchestra rehearsal for a weekend performance.

The Kent State University Orchestra will perform with the Kent Chorus and Chorale on Sunday in the Cartwright Auditorium.

Wyatt shares her story in music education from growing up as the only violinist in her school to now touching the lives of over 200 string students each week. 

Marching Golden Flashes

The College of the Arts and the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music are pleased to announce the launch of the “Marching Golden Flash Award.” This new scholarship opportunity will be available to all returning members of the Marching Golden Flashes as well as incoming Kent State students. It is open to students of any major starting in the fall 2020 season.

The 2016 Piano Institute, in association with the Piano Division of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University, will present a series of master classes and recitals from July 19-26 on the university’s campus and culminate with the July 26 gala concert at Severance Hall’s Reinberger Chamber Hall in Cleveland.
