Named for the designer's mother, Sukeina features stunning fashions by Kent State University School of Fashion and Merchandising Hall of Fame inductee Omar Salam.
New York couturière designer Pauline Trigère, whose career spanned more than five decades, left behind a legacy of fashion innovation meticulously preserved in volumes of sketchbooks and press clippings. Those volumes have had a home at Kent State University Libraries since 1993 and soon will be accessible to everyone.
Inspired by the needs of one student’s grandmother, several Kent State Fashion design majors are partnering with a faculty member in the College of Nursing to design special garments for older adults who live alone.
