Kent State University supporters once again joined together during the university’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise more than $2.8 million to support a variety of student scholarships and programs.

From now through Dec. 15, Kent State University is collecting clean, gently used or new items of warm clothing for all ages, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters, as part of its Winter Coat and Clothing Drive.

The Kent State University Surplus Store helps the university liquidate assets in a sustainable and responsible way while offering unique items at low prices. 

The Rev. Larry L. Macon Jr., J.D., has been appointed to the Kent State University Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Macon will serve through May 16, 2027, fulfilling the unexpired term of Johnathan Holifield. Holifield resigned his position as a trustee in late 2022 due to an out-of-state relocation.

In recognition of the generosity and commitment of James E. Mayer Jr. and Glen and Nancy Warner for their gifts toward a $500,000 endowment, the Kent State University Board of Trustees approved on Sept. 20 naming the main building at Kent State University at Ashtabula as Susan J. Stocker Hall.
