April 22, 2023, marks the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day, and Kent State University is celebrating the whole Earth Month with the theme “Invest in Our Planet.” 

As of 2021, the fashion industry was responsible for 10% of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions, according to research done by the Columbia Climate School.

Kent State University will be equipped to offer more financial assistance to students in need thanks to donors to a key area of the university’s ongoing comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Forever Brighter campaign includes a scholarship-support component, Prioritizing Student Success, that now stands at $142 million, surpassing the $100 million goal set at the campaign’s outset in October 2021.

The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved a project with an estimated cost of $5 million to be funded from federal, state and university sources to address deferred maintenance at the Kent State University Airport hangar.
