Kent State students celebrate with family and friends after the graduation ceremony held at Dix Stadium. 

The Roe Green series continues to prosper in 2019, bringing in actor, writer and director Ron West, ‘82, who has directed multiple pieces for The Second City in Chicago, appeared on Whose Line is it, Anyway? and worked on several other shows and projects. 

A helmet and pads were replaced by a cap and gown for New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman as he finished a journey he started in 2005, joining 5,300 new Kent State graduates at the One University Commencement held at Dix Stadium.

FedEx Corp. has pledged $5 million, in addition to $1.5 million already given, in support of an aeronautics academic center that will be located at the Kent State University Airport. The new 17,800-square-foot building will be named the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center.

The Kent State University alumni family will grow by 5,300 new graduates as the university holds its spring commencement ceremonies. 

Kent State University Libraries’ May 4, 1970 Collection has been selected by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) to benefit from a $30,561 award through the Recordings at Risk grant program, generously funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
