Veterans

The Ruck for Pets and Vets saw participants march with full backpacks from Downtown Kent and through the university campus to finish at Dix Stadium. Items in the backpacks, and proceeds from the event, will assist in matching veterans and first responders with companion animals. 

Kent State University honored all who have served with Veterans Day Commemoration ceremonies Friday on the Kent Campus’ Student Green.

Several sites on Kent State's Kent Campus have been dedicated to remember and honor fallen members of the U.S. military for Memorial Day and every day. 

The Rubber City Theatre in Akron, Ohio, will host the play "Love in Reserve" by career storyteller, U.S. Army veteran, award-winning journalist and playwright Eric Mansfield. At Kent State University, many know Mansfield from his role as assistant vice president for content strategy and communications in the Division of University Communications and Marketing.
