Kent Broadcast Center

Beginning Fall 2024, TeleProductions is now located in the Kent Broadcast Center.

This space, at the corner of Summit Street and Loop Road, had been the former home of WKSU. Now, TeleProductions makes its home there with ample studio space to serve the Kent State University community and to assist with their audio and video needs.

A History of the Former WKSU Building

Prior to becoming the home of TeleProductions, the building at the corner of Summit and Loop Road had been the WKSU Building, where the radio station began broadcasting from in 1992. Built in 1991, and moved into just before the end of 1992, the newly named Kent Broadcast Center is the ideal home for Kent State's full-service video production unit.

You can read more about the history of WKSU and this building.

Our New Video Wall

One of the highlights of the new space is our 9' x 16' LED video wall which allows for a huge range of simulated environments due to its incredible clarity. Here's a timelapse shot at the end of the summer as we installed this new video screen.
