Jennifer Korecki
Biography
Jennifer Korecki, Assistant Professor, is a graduate of KSU with a Masters Degree in Music Education. She studied piano and accompanying with Lois Ozanich. She has directed and accompanied numerous musical theatre productions for local high schools, Weathervane Community Playhouse, Porthouse Theatre and Kent State University. She is an accompanist/instructor for the KSU Musical Theatre Performance Classes, Dance Classes, Audition Repertoire Classes and accompanies auditions/master classes/voice lessons and studio classes at KSU and throughout NE Ohio.
Most recently, she was Music Director for “Tintypes” at Porthouse Theatre and will be Music Director for the Fall Production of “Hair” at KSU. She is also the Education Coordinator for the Porthouse Academies. Prior to coming to KSU, Jennifer spent 20 years as a High School Choral and Musical Theatre educator. She also holds a Gifted Endorsement and is active in the screening and identification of gifted and talented K-12 students in Portage, Summit and Stark Counties.
