When you stop and think about all the students that have walked through the Costume Shop and the number of costumes that have graced the stages of Kent State University and Porthouse Theatre over the last 30 years, they all have one thing in common: Robin Ruth. As the Costume Shop Supervisor, Robin brought her costuming and wardrobe expertise to hundreds of theatre, dance, and fashion students at Kent State and impacted countless more students and professionals every summer during the Porthouse Theatre summer season.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Robin spent more than a decade working in film, television, tours and on Broadway in New York City. During her time in New York, Robin was a proud member of the Theatrical Wardrobe Union, Local 764 of the I.A.T.S.E. Robin joined the staff of Kent State in 1991. She will retire this summer after the 2022 Porthouse Theatre season.

Congratulations on your retirement, Robin! We will miss you!
