Associate professor Fabio Polanco plays an aide to Creon in "Antigone," an epic tragedy reimagined. Freely adapted by Emily Mann from the play by Sophocles and directed by Lauren Keating, this high-stakes, timeless tale burns with contemporary relevance, as age and youth clash over the future of their country.
Polanco shares insight in the article "Fabio Polanco sees role in 'Antigone' through lens of last two years" in the Akron Beacon Journal:
"We were really thrilled that the Play House made the the decision to revisit this production. We had done a lot of work," Polanco, 50, said in a phone interview Feb. 25. "It's been really wonderful to come back to it, restart, but still I think there's a foundation there as well that we brought with us."
