Kent State University’s School of Theatre and Dance is closing its 2023-2024 season with "Everybody" running April 19 through 28 in Wright-Curtis Theatre, located in the Center for Performing Arts.
A modern riff on the fifteenth-century morality play "Everyman," this adaptation follows Everybody (chosen from amongst the cast by lottery at each performance) as they journey through life’s greatest mystery—the meaning of living.
"Everybody" was written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. Paul Hurley is the director and the choreographer is Jennifer Black. The assistant director is Aariahn Curls and the production stage manager is Sage Brown. Costume design is by Abbie Hagen, lighting design is by MK Doherty, sound design is by Jack Drinan and technical direction is by Jack C. Libengood. Scenic design is by Quentin Ball and Tegan Wilson and properties supervisor is Frankie Teuber. Karl Erdmann is the production manager and Tony Hardin is the director of the School of Theatre and Dance and producer.
