Tom Humes

Tom comes to Kent State University having served the professional theatre community of Cleveland for 13 Years.  He has been a professional stage manager with Cleveland Play House, Cain Park, McCarter Theatre Center, Dobama Theatre, Karamu House, and Beck Center for the Arts. In addition to theatre stage management, Tom has worked as an opera assistant stage manager with Opera Cleveland and the Cleveland Orchestra.  He has worked as an Events and Senior Production Manager at Cain Park for several wonderful summers.  

Tom spent part of his career as an Electrician for Cleveland Play House and extra stagehand for the Greater Cleveland area.  He will sometimes work in the various theaters, concert venues, and conference centers loading in/out equipment, focusing lights, and running shows for the larger touring artists and Broadway shows.
