Kent State University students from two courses within Kent State's hospitality and event management program took part in an ice sculpting exhibition outside the Eastwood Mall Event Centre in Niles, Ohio, on Sunday.
The event, which takes place annually, features professional ice sculptors and Kent State students learning and practicing the craft.
Mandy Ulicney, an associate lecturer for Kent State's hospitality and event management program, told the Tribune Chronicle that many students in the program participate in the ice-sculpting demonstration.
“We incorporate this event into two classes. One is catering and the other is the business of events management. The students in both classes come together to put on this event,” she said.
