When the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce asked Kent State fashion students to design collections for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame Fashion Show, they didn't just create outfits. They created stories. Each student focused on a single inductee, researching their background and hometown to craft looks that captured the person behind the legacy.
"It's kind of the person behind the legacy, the person behind what they were, their beginnings, their hometowns, the areas they were raised in, the communities that they came from. From there, it kind of created this huge area for our students to gather inspiration," said Daniel Fladung, assistant professor in Kent State's School of Fashion.
"I love Kent State fashion because there's such a good community of people, and I feel like you get the school experience while also getting the fashion experience," said fashion design major Kelsey Lenhart.
