IN A FLASH: 2,977 Flags for 9/11

9/11 Flag Display on Campus

On the 23rd anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, a display of flags near the Kent State University Library has been placed in remembrance of this tragic day in American history.

The flags are a project by Mark Morrison, a junior accounting major in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, who reached out to University Facilities Management and the Kent Student Center for permission and approval of the display. The 2,977 flags are placed in memory of each life lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
