On April 25, celebrity chef Kenny Gilbert will be serving some of his signature dishes at Kent State, at Eastway Center, beginning at 4 p.m.
Since his appearance on season seven of Food Network's "Top Chef," Cleveland-born Gilbert has appeared on cooking shows, competitions and other segments on national television. He has been featured on CBS Saturday Morning, The Today Show, HGTV, Midnight Feast, Cutthroat Kitchen, he has served as a judge on Chopped Junior and on Beat Bobby Flay, he BEAT Bobby Flay. Gilbert is one of Oprah Winfrey's preferred personal chefs and has catered her holiday parties.
Gilbert is an author, a restaurant owner and the creator of his own line of spices. The staff of University Culinary Services is very happy to welcome him to campus.
