IN A FLASH: ‘Have You Met Kent State's President?’

Todd Diacon spoke in Portugese with Sofia Giotti-Teixeira, a Kent State American Academy student from Brazil.

 

Kent State University President Todd Diacon, Ph.D., greeted students at the Flashes Vote Festival by asking, "Have you met Kent State's President? He's ME!" and offering a free Kent State Votes t-shirt.

Diacon helped attract students to the event on on Sept. on Risman Plaza, which was both National Voter Registration Day and National Beignet Day. Students could get information about voting from several student organizations and community groups, register to vote and pledge to vote in exchange for a free, freshly made beignet from Erie Street Kitchen. The Flashes Vote Festival was presented by Undergraduate Student Government
