Taking a drone photo of an entire incoming class of students forming a giant "K" is a relatively new tradition at Kent State.

It happens immediately after Convocation with all students filing out of the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center to a large, open field on campus, like Centennial Green.

The director of Kent State's Marching Golden Flashes helps direct the students to form the "K" with assistance from members of the marching band, outlining the edges of the shape.

Want to see YOUR photos in “IN A FLASH?” Submit your Kent State-related photos to InAFlash@kent.edu and you may see them in a future Kent State Today post. Photos should be framed -horizontally- and include a brief description of what’s happening in the photo along with when and where it was taken.
