One of the two rinks at the Kent State University Ice Arena will be transformed into an indoor rehearsal space for the Marching Golden Flashes, the Flasher Brass and percussion in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music.
The current practice field for the Marching Golden Flashes, located next to the Center for the Performing Arts, will be eliminated in the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Horning Road and East Main Street. This road construction is part of the city of Kent's East Main Street Improvement Project.
Other planned improvements at the Kent State Ice Arena include the replacement of the roof and the renovation of the restrooms.
