Golden Flashes rang the Victory Bell after defeating the Central Connecticut Blue Devils 38-10 in Kent State University's home opener at Dix Stadium. The decisive win marked the first win as a head coach for Kent State's Kenni Burns.

Next week, the Flashes close out the non-conference season with a night game at Fresno State. Kick-off will be at 10:30 pm ET/ 7:30 pm PT on Sept. 23.
