For a group of high school students, transfer students and their parents, it was a perfect day to get to know Kent State University.
The skies were dry, the breeze was cool and the sun was shining on the first of two Summer Preview KSU sessions. The visiting students also enjoyed free giveaway swag, snacks and a surprise visit by a celebrity guest.
Each summer, Kent State Admissions welcomes students to visit the university for a campus tour, led by a current student.
The tour includes dining areas, model residence hall rooms and visits to academic departments for students to learn more about the programs of study that interest them.
Visiting students also learn about Kent State's nationally recognized student support services, the admissions process and financial aid timelines.
One of the highlights of the day for the students and their parents was a personal welcome to campus by Flash, the university’s mascot, and Kent State’s own “Elvis” (Kent State President Todd Diacon).
The next Summer Preview KSU date is July 26.
