Each year colleges and universities across the country recognize the importance of the student work experience during National Student Employment Week. Established by the National Student Employment Association, this week is meant to bring awareness to the importance of student employees in higher education.
Here at Kent State University, we celebrate Student Employee Appreciation Week and dedicate this week to celebrating and recognizing on-campus student employees.
With so many qualified and outstanding student employees, this is the perfect opportunity to recognize their efforts. All departments are encouraged to recognize the student employees in their area during the week with activities, awards or any other recognition fitting the unique circumstances for their department.
As a part of this week's activities, Career Exploration and Development hosted the Student Employee Awards Celebration, recognizing exceptional student employees in their work as well as recognizing supervisors who are considered exemplary by their employees.
Student employees will also receive exclusive free merchandise and activities this week, including belt bags, ice skating at the Kent State Ice Arena, free drinks and snacks at the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center and more.
