Kent State Graduate Taylor Pendrith, ‘14, earned the Canada Life Candian Player of the Year honors on the Mackenzie Tour -- PGA TOUR Canada on Sunday, Sept. 15. This is Pendrith’s second time receiving the honor in the past four years.
“Canada Life has been a great supporter of the Tour for the last few years, and it’s an awesome little bonus for the Canadian players who compete out here,” Pendrith told PGATour.com
Pendrith finished second at the Canada Life Championship and has previously won two tournaments this year, becoming the first Canadian to win on the Mackenzie Tour since Adam Cornelson in 2016, according to PGATour.com.
By 2014, Pendrith was one of only two players in Kent State men’s golf history to play in the NCAA Championships in all four college seasons. During his time at Kent State, he ranked No. 47 in the World Amateur Men’s Golf Rankings and ranked No. 27 in the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings as of May, 2014.
